Our team is working in 3 areas to enable the 'Trusted Next Digital' [TND]

1.  Enable a future ecosystem & platform for trustworthy things and experiences with a novel frontend that will enable privacy enablement & data flow control, authentication, authorization and persona portability among environments.

2. Drive towards new standards & frameworks in the areas of Digital Trust, Cyber Security & Privacy.

3. Inform and raise awareness with research and by creating new computing paradigms via Center of Excellence for Digital Trust.

What are things & experiences?

Thing is anything that a person would interact with or consume. This may include IT & OT systems, AI & Autonomous Systems, websites or subsystems such as storage, messages etc. Experiences are formed when various things work with each other.

What does WOPLLI mean by safe experiences?

To be safe, the systems must be secure, privacy enabling & cause no harm to a person.

What does WOPLLI mean by fair experiences?

To be fair, the systems must be built with and provide equitability, choice and inclusiveness.

What is Trust?

Trust is quintessentially a human belief that is always relational (between two parties), directional (going in one direction or the other), and contextual (applying in a specific context). So, the “atomic unit” of trust is a single relationship in a single direction in a single context. Trust is also an inherent component of any kind of socio-cultural ecosystem that connects people to other people within a community. Countries, cities, companies, churches, partnerships, schools, social networks—all are communities of some kind, and in order to function successfully they all depend on various degrees of trust between participants.

What is Trust Fabric?

Trust Fabric is a human centric ecosystem where people can be assured of their safety & can confidently interact with digital eco-systems, comprising of things, networks & experiences that are created & presented based on the determination of trustworthiness. 

Is trustworthiness measurable?

Yes, trustworthiness is measurable. Though organizations and people use this term in casual and general terms, WOPLLI is working on this topic with a scientific approach in building AI models.

What is WOPLLI's novel front end?

WOPLLI's front end is based on decentralized & Self-Sovereign Identity. Our goal is to provide control on data flows to a person, provide ability to verify, agency, authentication and authorization. The front end will also revolve around person's daily experiences as they 'work, play, learn & live'. More information will follow over time.

Why decentralized & Self Sovereign Identity?

Today's centralized identity systems enable collection of data in central manner. These systems or organizations may then share information with other systems or organization leading to privacy issues. The central systems also become prone to security breach. Instead, decentralized and self-sovereign identity system enables control of data by a person, leading to the benefits of better security and privacy.

How will WOPLLI determine Trustworthiness of things?

WOPLLI will follow different methods to determine trustworthiness, including open-source methods. We will enable your ability to search, rank, verify and transact with things based on trustworthiness. Check our Architecture Principles and Vision for more information. We have partnered with few universities to research, contribute and develop new models. More information will follow over time.

Which standards, frameworks and efforts is WOPLLI supporting & contributing to?

WOPLLI is contributing to and supporting many novel upcoming standards and frameworks, such as Trust over IP Foundation, Decentralized Identity Foundation, IEEE, NIST, C2PA etc. The work is to contribute to new standards in fields that bring safety, fairness and trustworthiness in systems, such as the areas of cyber security, privacy, ethics, new trust architectures over internet protocol (ip), decentralized identity, authenticity, verification etc. In addition, we are also signatory (#1319) to MyData.org principles.

What is Center of Excellence effort?

WOPLLI is proposing to foster global cooperation via 'Center of Excellence for Digital Trust'. This will be an alliance between academia, public and private organization from around the globe to promote research, development, increase of knowledge base and encouraging policies that help build Digital Trust; so that there is increased awareness to build, develop & use digital frameworks & technologies in trustworthy ways for the good and benefits of human beings. We have initiated this effort already and are gathering initial organizations for the alliance.
